With decades of experience in windsurf and surfboard manufacturing BIC Sport is a pioneer and expert of thermoformed composite construction technology. Over the past few years the ideal composite lay-up for SUP have been refined, with ACE-TEC the result. This unique technology suits the needs of experienced riders and newbies alike with a unique combination of LIGHT WEIGHT, DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE.

1- Protective Outer Shell – A highly durable 0.8mm ASA skin is thermoformed and pressure bonded in a steel mold for exceptional durability and lightweight performance.
2- Molded, watertight EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam core for consistent quality and light weight.
3- Deck Pad – Non-slip deck pad for traction and comfort under foot.
4- Reinforced Standing Area – 7oz./200gr fiberglass layer where you stand for added durability.
5- Fiberglass Wrap – 2oz/50gr fiberglass wrap for durability and improved finish.
6- Unidirectional Fiberglass – 7oz/200gr layer maximizes stiffness when bonded to the outer ASA skin and epoxy resin.

The polystyrene blank has been covered with fibreglass layers and then impregnated with resin.
It’s now moved to a mould containing two prepared thermomoulded ASA finishing sheets.
The mould is pressure-sealed, then cooled. The finished product is extracted and sent for finishing.
