Interview :

Where do you live?
I live in Belgium, near a lake called 'Schulens meer'

Where do you do SUP more often?
The lake in my village is my homespot. It is a flat water spot. I like to SUP at the North sea as well.

When and where did you start SUP?
I started with stand up paddle in 2010. It was on an old windsurfboard and a kayak paddle. Shortly after I bought my first board and paddle.

When did you start with BIC Sport?
May 2015

What is your favorite quiver ?
My BIC ACE-TEC 12'6" Wing. It is perfect for touring and cruising. I will use it in races as well.

Which sports did you practice before? And now?
Windsurfing, surfing, sailing, cycling and tennis.

How have the sports you did before helped with SUP?
I think it's the other way around. SUP is a awsome work out. I started with SUP to get in shape for windsurfing. Now I'm SUPping more than I surf.

What attracts you to SUP?
You can go on the water whenever you want. You don't need wind or waves. On a SUP you can go places where nobody can go. You can be one with nature.
SUP is for everybody. For racers, cruisers, wave surfers and fitness freaks.

SUP race, SUP surf or something else?
Usually I'm racing or cruising, but I love to catch some waves as well.

What do you do when you are not paddling?
Windsurfing. Every day on the water is a good day.

SUP is booming, do you think this is a fad or a change in attitudes over the long term?
SUP is growing fast. It is a sport that everybody can do. It's so easy, you can learn it in one hour. I think that a lot of people will discover and enjoy SUP in the future. A stand up paddle board will be the cycle on the water.

Do you participate in competitions?
Fifth of july 2015 will be my first race. I hope to win it.
Stay wet and keep standing up.
