Eric Terrien wins the Nautic SUP Paris Crossing 2011

Sunday 4th December 9.30 am, Eric Terrien steps off his SUP board after 11km of race and wins the first leg of the Nautic SUP Paris Crossing, leaving the runner-up way behind him.

Only a few days after joining the BIC Sport team, Eric wins for the second time in a row this mythical race across Paris, ran by one hundred SUP enthusiasts, among whom are some of the best SUP racers in Europe. After a lively start where Eric and many others hit the water, Eric sets off at speed, overtaking his fellow-competitors and is the first to pass under the Bercy bridge. Ile de la Cité, Pont Neuf ... Eric widens the gap and is nearly 2 minutes ahead of the rest near the Trocadero. A headwind rises. Eric keeps the rhythm and leaves his competitors far behind. He finishes the race in record time under difficult conditions (no currents, headwind conditions). A great performance for this international champion, winner of several international races.

The second leg takes place Sunday afternoon in the main pool of the boat show. Eric, true to form, wins all the heats, in front of hundreds of spectators. He comes first in this leg and therefore wins the title.

"I'm very happy to win this race, the level is even higher than last year, with several international riders taking part.

One of the highlights of the race was crossing Paris alongside the most beautiful buildings and monuments as well as the support and encouragement of the whole BIC Sport team present at the Paris Boat Show", said Eric Terrien.
